Mental health training

Mental health problems are highly prevalent amongst individuals with high levels of interpersonal dysfunction, and we are able to provide a range of specialised mental health training packages.

Different mental health problems are seen in different client groups, and between individuals within groups. Training packages can include a focus on:

  • An introduction to mental health (e.g. for staff with backgrounds in offender management but minimal mental health expertise)
  • Associations between various mental health problems and different types of interpersonal dysfunction
  • The assessment of key relevant mental health symptoms within settings that are not specialised mental health services
  • Strategies for working with mental health symptoms that are associated with higher levels of harm to others, with harm to our clients themselves, and/or with the persistence or recurrence of harmful behaviour. Examples of mental health symptoms that may be covered include emotional dysregulation, obsessional thinking, Dissociality, negative affect etc.
